Tom Goss founded Goss Structural Ltd. in 2017. Prior to this he had experience working on a wide range of projects for Mott MacDonald and RISE Structures. Project experience has included everything from civil engineering design of a new tram system in Nottingham; a role as Assistant Resident Engineer on site in Macau, China for a multi - billion dollar hotel and casino resort; structural design of footbridges over rail in the UK and a wide variety of architecturally interesting buildings constructed of timber, masonry, concrete and steel. Tom was nominated for the prestigious James Rennie award whilst carrying out his engineering chartership.

Since starting Goss Structural Ltd. Tom has been busy developing a paper - free work process, drawing and calculation templates and working methods that allow him to deliver the highest quality results for the best possible price.

Outside of work, Tom is a keen cyclist and the proud owner of far too many bicycles. In particular he enjoys long distance cycle touring and has completed many tours all over the world.

Ross embarked on his professional journey alongside Tom, kicking off his career at Mott MacDonald. Here, he worked on Civil and Structural engineering schemes, primarily within the rail sector. His trajectory then led him to contribute his expertise at Fairhurst in Bristol, and Exact Structures in Exeter. Through these experiences, he made significant contributions to a diverse array of projects. These ranged from a substantial £multi-million waste-to-energy facility to intricate small-scale extensions and everything in between, underlining his versatility and adeptness in adapting to the distinct challenges posed by each project. Ross particularly enjoys working on domestic projects - whether that be knockthroughs, extensions, or architecturally led bespoke homes - and takes immense satisfaction in aiding Clients in transforming their vision into tangible dream living spaces.

Outside of work Ross can be found surfing at beaches throughout the South West and Wales, and spending quality time with his young family.

Will began his engineering career in the Aerospace industry working in the award winning design team at Quest Global delivering the Airbus A350.

After graduating in 2018, and a brief stint working as the production manager of a craft cider company in Vietnam, Will returned home to Bristol to work at Engineering Consultancy DJP. Here he was involved in a number of commercial and residential projects including the redevelopment of a harbourside gym, a new build glazed steel frame structure in the centre of Bristol and a technology park in a disused quarry on the outskirts of Bristol.

On Saturdays Will can be found playing rugby, whether it is Rugby union in the winter or Rugby League in the summer he will play all year round.

Olivia joined Goss Structural in 2021, and enjoys the variety of projects she gets to work on.

She started her engineering career in Brazil working as an intern at ADC Projetos, an engineering office focused on concrete structures for residential and commercial buildings in Brasilia. During her bachelor studies, she did a year abroad enrolled in the Civil Engineering programme at the University of Bath. There she became interested in the efficiency of structures and the use of novel materials. After graduating in 2014, Olivia worked as a civil and structural engineer at Solo e Agua, a small consultancy that provides environmental solutions for drainage systems.

Her previous experience in the UK lead Olivia to pursue a PhD at the University of Bristol. She is currently finalising her work on efficient Nonlinear Structures, in which she investigated instabilities and nonlinearity as a way to achieve lightweight structures. Olivia enjoys difficult challenges and combining engineering principles with computational tools to deliver the most efficient solutions.

In her free time, you can find her throwing a great BBQ party and bouncing between her ever growing list of creative hobbies that goes from binding books to drawing colourful digital art.
